Daedalus' Commitment to Privacy
The Daedalus Group, Inc. ("Daedalus") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how to correct or change it. Please review the following policy to understand how the information you provide Daedalus will be treated.
Information We Collect
Many resources on our web site are provided without requiring you to pay or provide any information. When you wish to evaluate or purchase our software, we may ask for your name, contact information, and purchasing information.
We also gather information about all users collectively, such as what areas users visit most frequently and what services users access the most. This information, which is automatically retrieved, is anonymous and is used only in aggregate form; no individual user is identified. The aggregated data lets Daedalus analyze site traffic.
Daedalus may, on occasion, request personal information at other times, such as when you offer feedback on our site, products, or services. We also may use or retain your email address and other personal information if you communicate with us.
Will Daedalus disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
Daedalus may use customer contact information from the registration form to send the user information about our company, services, and products. You may choose to opt out of future mailings. Directions on how to opt out will be provided in any email correspondence you receive from us. Certain non-personal information of visitors is recorded by the standard operation of Daedalus' Internet servers. Information tracked includes the type of browser being used by the visitor, the type of operating system, and the domain name of the visitor's Internet service provider. Daedalus may disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe the service to prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.
Daedalus may use personal information to determine the demographics of our users and to distribute statistics and general marketplace information about Daedalus. These demographics will always represent aggregate information and will never identify a specific user.
Daedalus may make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available on its web site. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
What about site links?
This site may contain links to other sites. Daedalus is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other web sites.
What about Cookies?
A cookie is a small data file that certain web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.
