DIWE runs on Microsoft® Windows computers that are connected through
a local area network (LAN). Hardware and software requirements are low to ensure compatibility
across a broad range of older and newer computers.
DIWE 7 for Windows
Individual computers
- 386DX running at 33 MHz or higher (486 recommended)
- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 SP3, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
- 10 MB free on hard drive
- Network card connected to a local area network (LAN)
Network server
- 486DX running at 66MHz or higher (Pentium recommended)
- 10 MB free on hard drive plus 2MB per user per semester
- Network card connected to a local area network (LAN)
- Network operating system
DIWE is compatible with all known network operating systems that allow
Windows users to read, write, create, and delete files on the server. Common
systems include Windows NT 4.0 Server, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server,
and Novell Netware.
